An Offering of Landlord Domination Talismans

As discussed in our recent Episode 38: Lording over Landlords, one of the most common techniques to dominate your landlord, protect yourself against eviction, ensure the renewal of your lease, or otherwise live unbothered is to “nail down” your place of residence—that is, to take four nails (or other such metal implements, like needles or railroad spikes, themselves dressed in appropriate condition oils or urinated on) and implant them into the earth at the four corners of the property, proclaiming yourself unmovable. One can expand on this technique by collecting a small amount of the dirt from the four corners of the property and using it to line a small dish, into which a fifth nail is implanted. One can mix into this soil all manner of materia magica, such as herbs seeds and roots of prosperity, peace, and protection, images of the property, maps of the surrounding area, and links to the landlord, along with oils and powders of the same. Once a cohesive whole has been formed, awakened and balanced by the conjurer, one can stab a nail upright into the center, and treat this as a focal point by which enchantments affecting the entire property can be wrought.

With these techniques in mind, I’ve decided to offer a few supplies to implement these techniques yourself.

The first is a set of five nails, intended for use in the manner described above. The bundle around the central nail contains a variety of herbs traditionally used to gain an advantage over those in positions of authority: Devil’s Shoestring, Galangal, Licorice, Tobacco. four gold-plated pins also adorn the bundle, that their eyes may keep watch over the 4 directions and their tips may prick any misfortune that comes your way. The four nails intended to be planted around the property were dressed in a variety of oils for the purpose—my own law stay away blend, (which you can get here), my own “peaceful home” style blend, and one of my own domination oils. They were then linked to the central nail, and blessed with smoke and fire to obfuscate any wrongdoing and protect those within their perimeter. No additional preparation is required, but I encourage those who pick up these talismans to allow the hands of their spirits to guide them in further uses.

The other offering of this collection is a railroad spike prepared in a similar manner to the above, intended to be implanted by the front door of the property or otherwise hidden in a potted plant nearby. The charm bag affixed to the spike contains similar domination herbs and ingredients to the central nails of the aforementioned bundle, further enlivened to provide a degree of autonomous, proactive protection to the home and its residents. Implanting the spike above an image of the landlord to be dominated, or an image of the property as described in the episode, inspired by Starr Casas, grants additional potency.
